The jobCORE Development team assists in the integration of new businesses, product lines, and business processes through consultation, reporting, and development. We develop, monitor, and support primarily web-based applications that process over 75% of IBP's sales and handle the Help Desk needs of IBP and other groups within the Edwards Companies. Team goals and activities are based on and regularly checked for alignment with business needs and furtherance of IBP's mission statement. As group manager my duties include the following:
-Provide programmers, implementers, and vendors with specifications and direction based on feedback from users and management, evolving long-term organizational goals, availability of resources, emergence of new technologies, and demands for support of legacy applications
-Assist CIO with recommendations on development requests, providing estimates of resource requirements and enterprise applicability
-Ensure smooth software implementation by coordinating feature migration, data conversion, user training, instructional material development, and bug reporting mechanisms
-Lead unit, integration, and load testing
-Create and custom-modify data conversion templates and reports
-Train trainers and help desk providers, develop/discover and promote best practices
-Assist in development of user and management reports
-Maintain documentation on legacy systems and arrange support for post-conversion access
